Description: Our teenage years can often be best summed up with one sound: a piercing wail, something akin to trying to force a microwave into a woodchipper. It’s rough. It’s awkward. It’s emotional. It’s occasionally viciously sad. And best of all, it often shapes who you become as an adult — cool!

Warna-Warni Waktu is a six-episode mixed-media web series that interspersed themes of media literacy, negative self-talk, and family relationships with entertaining content like time travel and pop culture references. It asked the question: “What if a time traveling team of plucky girls helped you make self-affirming choices in your formative years so that you could become the person that you want to be as an adult?”

For Warna-Warni Waktu my role was primarily in helping lead the production of the animated sequences, as well as in the creation of the visual mock-ups and sketches required to render the VFX assets for ‘Future Jakarta’. I assisted in the Writers’ Room by helping to structure the overall arc of the series, but my role was largely in assistance to the show’s head writer, Indraswari Pangestu.

A resounding success, the campaign received 14 million views in eight weeks and the results were peer-reviewed and published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR).
